While the Internet is a valuable resource to provide information and promotion for events such as the Drayton Farm Show, it also provides an opportunity for scammers to attempt to take advantage of an event.

ADVERTISING SCAM ALERT ...

One of our exhibitors has passed on information that they received a letter from The Exhibitors Fair Guide in Slovakia, soliciting advertisiing for the Drayton Farm Show in their Fair Guide. 

All exhibitors are reminded to exercise extreme caution with solicitations of any type.

NOT UNIQUE TO US

Unfortunately, this type of scam is not unique to the Drayton Farm Show.  Most businesses that have a web presence themselves or can be easily found in the directory listings can be targeted for a wide variety of scams including: unsolicited "business listings", fake "Yellow Pages" from Europe or even receive invoices for services that are illegitimate or fraudulent in the first place.

Again, please do not fall prey to offers of this nature.
